  •To be familiar with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GCP/ICH guidelines and to adhere to them at all times.•To ensure that the laboratory Research Assistant is trained and competent to perform general routine tasks as well as study specific tasks, to confirm that competency has been achieved in performing certain tasks after a practical assessment.•To ensure that all Laboratory Research Assistant are familiar with all relevant SOPs and GCP/ICH guidelines and adhere to them at all times.•To liaise with all other departments to ensure a smooth conduction of all clinical trials and to keep up to date with all Research Unit activities through regular participation in studies performed in the unit.•To co-operate with the Training Department and the Quality Assurance and Quality Control Departments in the maintenance of records and the preparation of audits, inspections and other visits.•Assist the laboratory manager to order laboratory supplies and purchase equipment after discussion with the Medical Director, to ensure that supplies are ordered in a timely manner and cost-efficiently.•To liaison with external laboratories for sample analysis, arrange shipment of samples and ensure the safe arrival of all samples and keep records of shipment. • To be responsible for the processing of Drug Free Plasma, arranging shipment of samples to clients and maintenance of stock level and keeping records of all documentation.•To ensure high quality of assay is maintained for Drugs of abuse screening, ordering all the supplies, keeping a complete record/document and are easily accessible.• To liaise with all other departments to ensure a smooth conduction of all clinical trials.• occasionally participate in the interviewing process of new staff as appropriate.•To maintain good, friendly and professional relationships internally and externally.
