      An experimental approach was done to determine the effect of carburizing on different grades of free-cutting steel.Metallography observation and hardness measurements were conducted.Applied surface operations like grinding, polishing, and etching to observe the microstructure of the steel.Applied different heat treatments like annealing, normalizing and quenching to observe their effects on the microstructure.

As well as their mechanical recycling and chemical recycling processes.
