Experienced routine farm practice first-hand as well as giving me the opportunity to apply knowledge previously learnt. I was trusted to lamb ewes alone and make appropriate decisions in the case of a difficult birth. Besides the practical experience, I began to consider methods of better nutritional management for the ewes, especially as prolapse incidence had increased since the previous year.
