      Responsible for the P&L management of a 200 person sales and marketing organization representing 55% of the company’s revenue, assets and 25%of their human resource. The organization generates $400K - $500K per month in new sales of bundled Local, Long Distance, Frame Relay/ATM and managed the implementation of Fiserv’s conversion to a packet based network. The Division ranked number one (#1) in sales and customer acquisition for the entire company. - Grew organization from 23 in Oct. ’95 to 200(+) by Dec. ’96. Associated revenues grew from $10M per year to $60M while per capita productivity grew 45% ($2,400 - $3,500). Successfully initiated operations in new markets in Georgia and Florida resulting in the addition of 700(+) buildings and 9000 miles of optics to the network. Show less

Built Logix Communications Enterprises, Inc., a $120MM, 1,200 person company, from a small, rural telephone company founded in 1938. Responsibilities included overall strategy of the company, day-to-day operations, sales and marketing, human resource, regulatory and legal, financial/capital strategy, execution and control. Executed the tax-free spin-off of Logix to facilitate a $550MM IPO of Dobson Communications (NASDAQ > DCEL) and headed a Lehman Bros. engagement to sell/merge Logix for a $1.5B enterprise value.       Recruited by Korn Ferry and the Board of Directors (Texas Pacific Group, Norwest Ventures, Duff, Ackerman, Goodrich) to rapidly restructure and reorganize this $100MM, 800 employee competitive telephone company. Company provided all forms of integrated digital telecommunications services. Successfully managed the business through Chapter 11 reorganization culminating in a successful, all cash capital stock sale under § 363 to the General Electric Company (GE). Company was later taken public after combining with Eschelon Communications. - Increased the company’s cash position from $4MM to $16MM while reducing cash-burn by $6MM per month to achieve EBITDA and free-cash flow break-even in 8 months. Reduced SG&A by $1.8MM per month by consolidating customer service, sales, delivery, IT/ R&D and by simplifying the product line and geographic dispersion of the company. - Reduced head-count from ~ 800 to 260 while increasing total sales by 20%. Established global leadership in the Wireless Transaction Processing and Financial-clearing to over 180 countries and developed partnerships with more than 500 wireless operators around the globe including Vodafone®, T-Mobile®, Verizon® and ATT/Cingular®. mBlox is the de facto leader worldwide in SMS-based transction processing services. This technology enabled companies a competitive advantage by leveraging “the Cloud” to eliminate large CAPEX outlays for billing and transaction processing infrastructure which made it ideal for Mid-sized institutions.- Negotiated the first B2B channel agreement at the time with AT&T to enable the offering.       Introduced EU-based mobile / barcodes to the US and North American markets. MobileTag designed and built SaaS infrastructure for Wireless Operators making Mobile phones able to scan barcodes. Successfully financed $6.7M from new investors and secured $3M in revenue in two quarters from AT&T plus a $10M - $15M indirect investment for product development and launch. As a result, SIX billion have integrated this technology into their core network, billing, sales commissioning and order entry infrastructure. Carriers pre-load MobileTag barcode reading technology on all phones. For example, AT&T, Orange and Vodafon, have integrated MobileTag barcodes into all phones sold by their sales forces. Show less
