  I worked in the summers between semesters of those years, with a break in the summer of 2014 when I worked at Honda of Covington. As a warehouse worker, I was responsible for helping arrange furniture around the store and helping keep the warehouse organized. I also helped with deliveries on a regular basis, as well as loading furniture into customers’ vehicles.

  We met with patients in their homes and discussed their condition and use motivational interviewing techniques to help them better manage their health. Our patients consisted of individuals with chronic diseases such as COPD and Diabetes Mellitus, and the main goal of the program was to lower re-admittance rates of the hospital. We also had the opportunity of going on rotations, shadowing different types of doctors and staff around the hospital during the internship. We were required to have office hours each week when we would call patients who had been recently discharged with conditions that the program helped treat. Additionally, we wrote SOAP notes and filled out encounter reports every week for each patient meeting. Show less

  I rotate between working on the floor as a grocery team member to working in the dairy and frozen departments in the back. My duties consist of unloading freight from the back of the store to the floor, working out back-stock items to the floor, organizing shelves so they consistently look presentable, and assisting customers with any questions they may have.
