      In my role as Manager, Business Change and Improvement, I directed a team focused on advancing operational efficiency and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across Housing New Zealand. My responsibilities included overseeing a $30M portfolio of projects that aligned with strategic objectives, managing a diverse senior leadership team, and maintaining organisational compliance. I was also accountable for embedding a culture of continuous improvement and establishing best practices in change management.My achievements included a range of major initiatives that delivered critical improvements to the frontline operating model, reducing housing build costs and enhancing health and safety standards. These efforts saved over $2M in direct costs and contributed to a cumulative reduction of more than 93,000 hours in business activities, creating measurable efficiency gains across the organisation. Show less As Manager of Organisational Strategy, I was responsible for guiding Housing New Zealand’s strategic and business planning activities as well as it's policy and research and evaluation functions. My role encompassed leading the development of the organisation's accountability framework, including the Statement of Performance and Statement of Intent, as well as overseeing the selection of strategic investments, enterprise architecture and policy and evaluation activities. This position allowed me to drive forward-thinking initiatives that shaped organisational goals and performance benchmarks.I spearheaded the development of “Strategy 2017: Forward Thinking, Thinking Forward,” a strategic framework that aligned long-term goals with operational priorities and resulted in the Auckland Housing Programme. My responsibilities included overseeing legislative, policy, and funding changes, managing the transfer of approximately 200 employees, and ensuring timely delivery of new information technology infrastructure solutions.I successfully executed a $24M programme on time and within budget, resulting in a seamless transition of functions that improved service delivery to New Zealand’s most vulnerable populations.
