      I joined Hertz with the brief to manage Hertz UK IT department and to build up the new IT team of four that had recently been recruited. I was responsible for providing IT and IT support to all Hertz UK offices and 150 Hertz branches.Key Projects Relocated Hertz UK head office from Norbury South London to three Hertz Europe locations based around Heathrow airport. The move involved the integration of all Hertz Europe and Hertz UK head office staff, reducing the IT support head counts to five (Hertz Europe) and two (Hertz UK) respectively.       ICT and Facilities Manager

      I joined the IIA in 2005 in a new role for them as their IT manager to look after all of their IT systems. In 2007 the role was expanded to include Facilities management, reception and the whole operational infrastructure of the organisation. In 2014 my role was further expanded to provide fully equipped training facilities to assist in the provision of in house training courses for our members and external clients. In 2018 my role was moved to the IIA business development team where I undertook formal project management of many new projects that had been created from the new IIA strategic plan.Key Achievements• Delivered full working from home capability for all staff in the organisation by replacing their desktop PCs with one laptop per person that could meet all their business needs. This project was completed to time and budget December 2019 just before the first lockdown.• Moved the company to a cloud based email and Microsoft office platform (Office 365) • Played a major role in the project management, specification, purchase and implementation of a new £500k database• Developed my role in the IIA from Technical support to providing Technical support, Facilities management, and Office services for the IIA’s three offices. • Setup and equipped a new central London Policy office for the CEO and the Policy team of five to a very tight deadline of one month with IT, furniture and provision of office services.• Brought in additional income by developing the head office meeting rooms into a training facility• Contracts management – Reduced excessive number of contracts for facilities and realigned them to match our financial accounting period.• Audio Visual. Installed 50-inch programmable network connected display Tv’s in all meeting, training rooms and reception areas replacing ceiling mounted projectors. Show less

      Project Delivery Manager

      I was brought into the Refugee Council as a Project Delivery manager to project manage and deliver the two phased IT plan to move the Refugee council from a Citrix virtual desktop environment (Phase I) to a new IT provider with Microsoft Remote Desktop (RDS) and to then prepare it for the move to a fully cloud based environment using Office 365 and SharePoint. (Phase II). I also project managed several ‘On demand’ business critical projects that came up on very short notice.Key Achievements• Delivered the move from a Citrix environment to a new service provider with Microsoft Remote Desktop environment and SharePoint capability. • Delivered New Intranet site • Delivered a new Project Management tool• Delivered a Laptop and Desktop refresh programme with Intune Endpoint configuration across the whole organisation.• Delivered Cyber Essentials accreditation for 2022 – 2023, 2023 – 2024 Show less
