  Integrated Capacity for Recovery and Early Action in Emergencies for Drought Affected Communities in ASAL Counties (I-CREATE) is a USAID funded 2 year livelihoods capacity building and disaster risk reduction program with the objective of improving capacities and systems of communities and institutions to cope and respond to the effects of recurrent shocks in the five target ASAL Counties in Kenya. Specifically in Baringo County, where I worked as the Project Officer, I supported the 3 Sectors of the project; Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Agriculture and Food security and Risk Management Policy and Planning. I supported the program implementation by offering technical expertise and training in the WASH sub-sector of the project including the composition and training of the Borehole Rapid Response Team (BRRT). Led WASH barrier analysis data collection, analysis, validation and reporting. Supported the development of livestock disease handbook development through desktop reviews and data collection by conducting focused group discussion on livestock disease reporters, private and public animal health service providers, community livestock farmers and agrodealers. Supported the Project Manager and Project officer in budgeting and forecasting processes during the monthly as well as quarterly reports as per USAID reporting requirements. Developed various activity concept notes towards achieving anticipated project objectives and expected outputs, in accordance to budget lines and organizational financial guidelines. Show less
