      I was the project lead/manager and organizer for Ashesi Design Lab's Blockchain Hackathon 2018. Spent 100 hours in two weeks engaged in helping the high school students to build robots using an EV3 Mindstorms kit and program their built robots using python programming. This helped introduce and expose them to computer science and engineering as well as how to build robots to solve problems

      Ashesi Dartmouth Engineering Project (ADEPT) Consultant and Ashesi Team Lead

      ADEPT was an 8-week project collaboration between Ashesi University Ghana and Dartmouth University, USA Engineering Department with the aim of using design thinking and engineering to create a health care solution for the nearby community of Kitase. The Ashesi team conducted field research and ethnography with teams applying design thinking to the findings to inform the creation of a prototype at the end of the project.My Role as ADEPT Consultant and Ashesi Team Lead included:- Leading the Ashesi team of 5 to perform ethnographic research in nearby communities to understand the health care challenges that exist in the community. This was done by conducting interviews in the homes of the community members and the local clinic.- Coordinating virtual design workshop sessions between both teams to make sense of findings from primary research and come up with solutions to problems as well as suitable next steps to take on the project to ultimately ensure project achieved scope and time targets.At the conclusion of the project the two teams developed a stethoscope retrofitted with an embedded computer chip that analyzes sound to detect fast breathing, a symptom of lower respiratory infection.
