  Virtual Enterprise Coordinator

  My goal as a Career and Technical Education teacher is to prepare my students with college and career readiness skills for success beyond high school. My role as a Virtual Enterprise Coordinator supports these goals, through the Virtual Enterprise International (VEI) program. It develops 21st century skills in, entrepreneurship, global business, communication, personal finance and technology, giving Virtual Enterprise students a competitive edge for success in whatever path they chose.Virtual Enterprise transforms the classroom into an entrepreneurial business venture that operates in a global business simulation of 5,000 Virtual Enterprise student-run businesses. While students assume the role of business professionals, under my guidance as a teacher-coordinator and business mentors, they create and manage all aspects of the business from product development, marketing and sales, human resources, accounting and web site development. Essential to the success of the VE program is the knowledge and workplace experience our business partners bring into the class as mentors and outside opportunities through internships. A business partner/mentor is a rewarding role; the difference you have made to the workforce of tomorrow may not be evident to you, but I tell you with confidence, your contribution will have a far-reaching impact on that student and likely impact the trajectory of their career path.
