  As District Nutritionist, I was in charge for planning, implementation and monitoring of the District Nutrition Response in a district which was dodged with high malnutrition rates. This involved both preventive and curatives aspects of the response under the District Health Office where a multi-sectoral approach to reduction of malnutrition rates was employed. I was in-charge of coordinating efforts of Development Partners with a contribution to improving Nutrition response such as UNICEF and JSI's UPHOLD project as well as local NGOs and CSOs at the grassroots level. Designed and managed community based preventive programs for maternal and child nutrition e.g. Community growth monitoring, Vitamin A supplementation, deworming, demonstration gardens. Managed the nutrition rehabilitation unit for severely malnourished children at Bugiri district hospital as well as providing counselling during the diabetic clinics. The program has to date reached over 350,000 adolescent and adult men with VMMC services thereby averting almost 18,500 new HIV infections
