      I mainly worked with students who had English as their second language. The work varies depending on the students situation and needs. Some of the work that I did was peer editing of papers, assistance in understanding basic structure of college papers, help in preparation for exams, and assistance with research techniques. Tutored a wide range of Math and therefore the work done depended on the student. Help with problem solving techniques, basic understanding of the core concepts of the course, homework help, and test preparation. Also helped with test corrections, understanding why the problem was marked incorrect and how to fix it.

      I tutored a group of students for the M.E.S.A program at Chabot College, who were enrolled in Biology 4. The group meet weekly and consisted of seven to ten people on any given day. Also met with individuals of the group in one on one tutoring sessions when requested. The work done varied from helping the students understand the course topics, preparing for exams/ lab practicals, helping them develop their own memorization technique and exposing them to the material ahead of time.
