My main responsibility is to conduct quantitative analysis on questionnaire data. This data contains measurements of latent constructs such as Challenges in EMI, Motivation for EMI, and Self-Efficacy. Analysis starts from Correlations, to Linear/Multiple Regressions, to eventual Structural Equation Modelling. We aim to invite seminar speakers whose research is interesting, exciting and significant (even - pushing boundaries in their field). This research aligns with the work we are doing in the department so that seminars will appeal to departmental colleagues and students, and potentially, academic colleagues across the university, and a wider public audience.   I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the Master of Research in Advanced Quantitative Methods in Social Sciences. As a member of the Department Learning, Teaching & Quality Committee I oversee duties such as course documentation (handbook and course specification), feedback to students, student placement and exchanges, implementation of adjustments for disabled students, student representation including Staff-Student Liaison Committees and wider engagement activities, and pastoral support for students working in close collaboration with Senior and Personal Tutors.
