      Eating Disorder Recovery ProgramDirect clinical care:- Provide diagnostic evaluations as well as individual, family, and group treatment to children and adolescents with a range of eating disorder diagnoses in the outpatient setting. Evidence-based treatment approaches include FBT, CBT-E, CBT-AR, ACT, and DBT-informed interventions.- Conduct evaluations and consultations for youth who are medically hospitalized due consequences of eating disorders.Supervision:- Provide live supervision to mental health counselor associates.- Provide in-service training to Master’s-level, predoctoral, and postdoctoral trainees, providers in other departments within the hospital, and community providers. Topics include: 1) how mental health providers treat eating disorders; 2) multicultural competence in eating disorder treatment; 3) ARFID assessment and interventions; and 4) multidisciplinary panel discussion on ARFID management.Program development:- Expanded the stepped care treatment program for ARFID. Fostered collaborations between ARFID treatment providers from various disciplines (Adolescent Medicine, GI, Nutrition, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Pediatric Feeding Program) within the Children's system. - Developed innovative Brief Transition Services (BTS) to support eating disorder patients after their emergency department visit and/or medical hospitalization to access specialized, appropriate levels of care. Engaged in ongoing quality improvement efforts to improve BTS access, utilization, and quality of care.Scholarly activities:- Analyzed the results of a peer institution survey about eating disorder inpatient medical stabilization. Presented results at a national conference and prepared the manuscript.- Participated in the hospital's Quality Improvement (QI) Scholars Program and received formal training in QI. Show less
