      I was responsible for all advertising and marketing for the 200+ Dan Howard Maternity clothing retail stores across the United States and the iMaternity.com online retail brand. I managed the $2.2million marketing budget and supervised two employees. I improved the company’s advertising, which resulted in an increase in all major- market stores sales by nearly 8% in 1999, my first full year with the company. With my department’s online advertising efforts iMaternity.com’s sales increased by more than 30% each quarter over the prior quarter while I was with the company. I managed a $1.65million marketing budget and supervised four company employees and several outside vendors. I improved same-store sales by 7% in 2001 and by 9% in the first three quarters of 2002. I also helped revive previously struggling stores with targeted direct mail campaigns and cut the direct mail staff by one person while increasing output.       Created the new business of residential breakfast delivery in Chicago and grew it to profitability and two locations in less than two years. Was able to build a brand for this entirely new business concept and create enough exposure in a large market to educate potential customers about the business and drive sales. Gained more than 3,500 unique customers in the first two years of operations and grew from three employees to more than twelve employees. Business was sold in 2007.
