  I and other members of the Orientation Team were responsible for individual projects relating to reviewing submitted events, planning special activities, arranging logistics, and meeting with the U of G Colleges to design special academic programming. After serving two years already on the College of Arts Student Union, I was grateful to have been elected to a new position on the executive as the Vice President of Finance where I distributed club funds, managed the budget and made purchases. I am the current elected President of the College of Arts Student Union, we run events on campus, represent the College of Arts and its students in a variety of committees and meetings and collect donations for initiatives. I was elected for this position after completing a successful year as the elected Vice President of Operations. As the elected Vice President of Operations for the College of Arts, I assisted in planning events, creating events, representing the College of Arts and its members at University held meetings and on boards and committees. After this role, I decided to run for the President role, which I felt the confidence to do after gaining more leadership skills from this position.

  As a Guide at the CN Tower's EdgeWalk. I was responsible for leading groups on breath-taking tours around the edge of the tower which relied on extensive safety and protocol training. In this role I also ensured that guests received photos and video of their adventure. As part of this role I ensured that unique individual needs and accommodations were met and addressed in a discrete and dignifying way to allow all guests to have the same experience.

  I am very proud to have completed my Undergraduate Research Thesis in Integrative Biology over my final two semesters at the University of Guelph. This project studied passive techniques on eDNA collection and found results examining a way to collect eDNA in a less labour intensive, and more cost-effective method. I am very grateful for the Hanner Lab and the incredible mentorship I received, and hope to apply them in the future.

  Governance Assistant (Board)

  In this current role as a Governance Assistant (Board), I assist the Associate University Secretary (Board) in the timely preparation of documents, organization of meeting packages, distribution of agendas and the in-person execution of full-day Board of Governors Meetings each quarter. This professional role has built upon on my existing skills and helped develop them in an environment where I am gaining in-depth organizational education while continuing to form connections.
