To be named a Jonas Scholar is a prestigious honor as participants work to complete rigorous research studies for their dissertations. The Jonas Center grant facilitates the NLN’s dedication to faculty development and to the creation of opportunities for leadership and career advancement. It serves as an effective tool to address the shortage of nurse educators, long cited as one root cause of the nationwide nursing shortage. Scholars, from nursing programs selected by the Jonas Foundation, are chosen by competitive review. Funds are distributed through the NLN Foundation for Nursing Education and include financial support for research and travel expenses to meetings with mentors at the NLN Education Summit. Show less

Bernard Schmidt Scholarship Dixon University Center Nov 2016 The Board of Directors of the University Center at Harrisburg, Inc., is a nonprofit group that funds five scholarships each year to Dixon University Center students. Scholarships awarded to students advancing in degree programs offered at Dixon with grade point average of at least 3.5, 6 graduate credits completed, and letter of reference from faculty.
