Working in this position alongside my Law degree also strengthened by organisational and time management skills. The main part of this role is to inform both adults and children about a number of different aspects of higher education. This can range from budgeting workshops to activities on student living. This position has allowed me to further develop my inter personal skills as well as the ability to communicate with a large range of people. During my first year at UWE I became a Student Ambassador for the university. This role allowed me to expand my knowledge about certain aspects of the university. Having this knowledge allowed me to talk confidently and enthusiastically about my subject as well as many other aspects of the university and student living. This experience has lead me to want to go further and help others understand about university life as well as what UWE may have to offer them.

  Work Experience

  In the Summer after my second year I was lucky enough to be offered work experience in the Commercial and Corporate departments of Harrison Clark Rickerbys. This allowed me to see first hand the theory I had learnt in practice. This experience also allowed me to observe how legal firms operate within these two sectors of law. Most importantly this opportunity confirmed my enthusiasm for the law and my desire to practice it in the near future.
