  Responsible for Business Development for adult social care services across the Midlands region of CareTech. I worked across 12 Local Authorities and 23 Clinical Commissioning Groups around the Midlands area between Staffordshire and Gloucestershire to identify or develop bespoke support placements for adults with a range of needs. Across the Midlands, I was responsible for covering placements in 33 residential services, 3 domiciliary care agencies and 3 day services.Although my focus was to assess and secure placements for potential service users, I was also responsible for developing and growing the business within my region.I was involved in writing tender submissions, attending regular meetings with social care & health commissioners; and preparing business proposals for new development projects- this included working with a range of housing providers, and identifying suitable property for development. A particular focus of my work was around the NHS England 'transforming care' agenda; and I was involved with assessing and preparing discharge proposals for individuals who needed to move on from hospital settings. In some cases, this involved developing a bespoke environment for the individual in order to manage risk and reduce likelihood of re-admission to hospital. I worked closely with Multi-disciplinary teams to ensure a robust and holistic approach was applied to all discharge proposals; and that the package of support was individually tailored for presenting needs.
