Assist the Regional Recruiter in hosting informational sessions about Teach For America and increasing awareness on University of Kentucky’s campus.   Elected Senator representing my majors’ college. As a Senator, I was charged with choosing the best decisions legislatively from the students perspective. I engaged regularly with professors, staff, and state government officials to ensure that we are well-educated on the issues facing our university and state.- Attended Kentucky State events to advocate on behalf of students- Completed and oversaw a special project to Arbor Youth Services, allotting $5,000 to renovate and renew their 18+ shelter in response to the high homelessness rates in Lexington during holiday breaks.- Chaired the Academic and Student Affairs committee and managed a $30,000 budget for graduate student scholarships Show less
