  Following the acquisition by Nextlink of my company providing computer-related services and Fixed Wireless Internet service, I began with Nextlink in the External Affairs department, reporting directly to the Chief Strategy officer and Chief Legal Officer. My team collaborates across our growing footprint, creating strong cooperative relationships with stakeholders and decision makers at state and county levels, in government offices, as well as Economic Development, Chambers of Commerce, Farm Bureaus, and the like. We provide guidance in the grant application process and facilitation of the planning and execution of steps to grow reliable and affordable Internet infrastructure to all communities.• Develop and implement strategies to successfully introduce ourselves into our expansion areas to drive growth of sales and overall market share.• Travel within assigned territories to cultivate these relationships, assess circumstances, request support, disseminate information, educate decision-makers and the general public, and discuss developments.• Maintain a robust external network, serve as an industry leader, improve internal use of market data, updates, trends, and technological advances. • Monitor, track, research, and report on legislative issues and actions for state and federal government affairs initiatives using testimony, hearings, floor debates, and bills on the state and federal levels.
