  Laboratory: Internet Technology and Data Science Lab (IDLab), Ghent University, BelgiumSupervisor(s): Dr. Jeroen van der Hooft, Dr. Maria Torres Vega• Collaborated with a research team of Inter-university Microelectronics Centre (Imec) to develop a novel algorithmic strategy for near real-time volumetric point cloud data streaming with 6DoF. • Formulated a framework of algorithm/scripts with the incorporation of a rendering pipeline to import big data point cloud objects with nearly 10 million points in the Unity3D framework.• Reduced the memory consumption of volumetric big data by 400% and reduced its rendering latency through real-time encoding/decoding by Google Draco and MPEG-VPCC encoder framework.• Key contributor to the development of an algorithmic approach using Unity VFX Graphs nodes to render a near real-time scene using multiple dynamic point clouds objects with different positional coordinates.• Analyzed multiple configurations of encoder/decoder and evaluated the visual quality of compressed big data point clouds by calculating the PSNR values and execution latency.
