  As the AUJS Victorian Social Officer it was my duty to conduct the five elements of administration where I planned, organized and coordinated the Victorian state parties and University Ball so that they meet the organizations objectives. Throughout 2013 I have organized two parties including a Back to Uni celebration and a holiday celebration, both of which saw large numbers. The final event that I managed was the 2013 Midnight in Manhattan AUJS Ball. The ball saw a number of improvements from the previous year including almost double the number of patrons, performances, enhanced entertainment and the first to sell out in 3 years.The business administration duties I undertook for each event was to ensure we had adequate staffing at the parties including door staff welcoming the guests and handling cash. A time-sheet had been set up to coordinate throughout the nights having each member working their shift. Throughout the year I conducted a large number of venue inspections of clubs, bars and function venues for our parties and ball. This was all documented to show comparisons between each available venue tailoring to our needs. Other roles I engaged in were working with my Western Australian counterpart to plan and organize night activities at AUJS's Basic Training camp, where AUJS Student leaders from Australia and New Zealand learn about AUJS, what their roles entail and simulation of activities that happen throughout the year. During this camp I had designed a holiday celebration campaign which was used in Victoria in 2013.Other duties within the role were providing ideas and updates to the executive during meetings and engaging in other events planned by other roles.
