Since 2009 I have been working in an R&D capacity on pain relief technology to improve farm animal welfare. Now in its 3rd year since launch over 5 million Australian lambs have benefited from using the Numnuts® Device and NumOcaine® Anaesthetic. In 2021 our technology was launched in New Zeland. In 2024 the Scottish Government confirmed that Numunts can be used in Scotland on lambs up to 12weeks of age.To facilitate the scale-up of Senesino's technology into the agricultural/veterinary market, I was awarded a distinguished Global Talent visa by the Australian government and have moved (with my family) from my native Scotland to Brisbane and Tasmania 2019-2022.Senesino Ltd was created as a spin-out business from 4c Group to commercialise the Numnuts® device. The technology developed has many applications in improving the safety of drug delivery both in the animal and human health sectors. We are interested in talking to the pharmaceutical industry about technology transfer of our patented drug delivery and tamperproof packaging solutions under licence. The stakeholders in Senesino are 4c, The Moredun Foundation, Meat & Livestock Australia, A private Vet investor & Australian Wool Innovation. Technology development and R&D was carried out in partnership with CSRIO Australia, FD McMaster Laboratory, Armidale Show less
