      I recruit volunteers to advocate for children who are in an abusive or otherwise unsafe environment. I train our new recruits on advocating for children--being the "voice of the child". I provide trainings in which volunteers learn to write court reports which are actually used in the Court Room the day of the hearing. I teach the the court process and how it works, and prepare the volunteers that they will need to be at court for the hearings. I also supervise some of our volunteer staff.I encourage anyone to become a CASA volunteer. It does take some of your time, but the reward of helping a helpless is truly amazing!
