Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Processing all insurance paperwork, including but not limited to Cobra Enrollment, Leave of Absence (LOA), premiums, updating employee deduction in Human Resouces Online (HRO). - Ensure accurate communication in relation to benefits and/or employee recognition is communicated throughout SCDC through Employee Newletter, articles, correspondence and memos. - Conduct orientation sessions to ensure complete knowledge of all benefits to new employees, including paid time off, holiday, tuition reimbursement, transfer, etc. - Counsels medical providers and employees with insurance claims' problems and/or questions and acts as a liaison between employee and provider. - Participates in safety and Wellness Programs such as the safety committee and health fairs.- Provide proper data to ensure proper billing. - Assists with Employee Counseling regarding Rehabilitation, Drug and/or Alcohol Programs, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP). - Acts as a liaison between Human Resources Department and Payroll Department, assisting with Public Relation Problems, deduction, taxes and status inquires, etc. - Developments, implements and coordinates all Employee Recognition Programs to include but not limited to: Engage-A-Guest, Pickle Training, Employee of the Month, Employee of the Year, Holiday Parties and Years of Service Recognition. Show less Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Receiving, reviewing and processing applications; conducting preliminary job interviews; mapped out and carried processing new hires, creating/processing necessary paperwork for any changes (name changes, contact information, tax status, dependent information, promotions, demotions, FLSA, suspensions, etc.) and acting as a liaison between Human Resources (HR) and Payroll; conducting investigations, suspensions, terminations; created/reviewed performance correction notices to ensure consistency in accordance to Company and/or Departmental Policies & Procedures, sometimes to include Performance Improvement Plan (PIP), implementing and conducting trainings; internal personnel file audit; set-up online application database and mapped out process; assisted in setting up and implementing Human Resources Online (HRO), Time & Labor Online (TLO) and Preview (Paychex) systems.
