  I worked for a PhD candidate in Dr. David Berlinsky's lab at the University of New Hampshire. I helped to collect data on the different fish species he worked with, maintained the fish tanks and made sure they were in working order, cleaned the filters, and performed data entry on days we weighed and measured the fish. I worked for a PhD candidate performing research on peat land soils from Sweden. She studied the gases emitted from the soils and I helped to weigh the samples, clean the sample jars, and helped with general upkeep of her study area.

I worked as a Teacher's Assistant for the Biology course and taught a mini-course of Zumba. The students came to me for guidance about their social life and for help in their homework assignments that they got over their summer term.   I worked with Dr. Aber to create a model illustrating the feasibility of connecting a composting system to a greenhouse in order to heat the greenhouse during the coldest months of the year. I presented this information at the UNH Undergraduate Research Conference in 2019 and had this work published in the UNH Inquiry Journal in 2020.

As a member of the Planning Department, I create educational outreach messages, provide opportunities for public participation in environmental causes, and aim to reduce the concentration of pollutants in Pelham's waterbodies by working with the residents and variety of departments in town. I am currently expanding my role to be involved in other environmental topics such as natural disaster mitigation, drinking water and well health, and wetlands regulations as well. Show less
