      Network administrator intern

I liked working at Bowl New England. As an expanding business, I had many unique opportunities as my job frequently extended far beyond simple network administration. As interns, we ran the network. Most frequently we administered, maintained, and upgraded servers (Exchange, Sharepoint, Active Directory, ADP), and responded to helpdesk requests when needed. As we comprised the entire IT staff, we got amazing business and professional experience.

    • Champlain college

      Aug 2012 - Mar 2013
      Resident assistant

As an RA I strived to create a family-like feel within our community, and I think my residents would agree I did just that. It was a very complex job, as your living space is also your work space, but I enjoyed it. Although taxing, I felt a real sense of accomplishment and purpose being a support structure in a number of ways for my residents. Everything from letting people into their rooms who had locked themselves out to time-sensitive emergency situations I was there for them constantly-- it really was a 24/7 job, and I loved every minute of it.
