  • Worked as a backend engineer. Developed APIs for the client which were hosted on the Azure Platform. Helped the client automate stock & inventory activities also developed a module to intelligently price their car parts based on market data. Worked to also integrate 3rd party APIs like Ebay and Pinnacle to aid sales. Helped the client automate the pricing of millions of rows of part data regularly which helped improve efficiency several fold. Also helped maintain the clients SQL and Postgres databases as well as maintaining SSIS process for database backups. Summarized and presented data queried to clients to provide insight for decision making.• Part of a team of internal engineers that reviewed architectural designs of all internal and external projects. In my capacity as the Cloud & DevOps lead, I was responsible for making sure our teams had guidance when adding cloud assets to their designs. Also advised on DevOps best practices and ensured all project teams bought into the DevOps culture by adopting some, if not of all its tools/methodologies. The pipeline helped our client automate the aggregation, and transformation of data to information from its source to applications to be consumed in a timely manner. •Developed PowerShell scripts that were automated to run daily in conjunction with an Azure DevOps server that remotely facilitated the continuous integration and deployment of the modules.   Serving the Revenue and Customs service on both primary fronts. Worked on enhancements to the Tax Payer and Tax Officer portal, delivering enhancements as per business need. Work was mainly focused on in the domains of the Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax and Account relationship modules of the TPOS and TO systems. These were implemented in JavaScript & UI5 for the front end and SAP, BRF and ABAP for the backend. Served the customs front by administering the ASYCUDA platform which is the primary legacy system for customs administration in Fiji. This encompassed, DB administration, app configuration, infrastructure administration and management as well as report development. Also served as level 2 support for customers who had issues that level 1 support could not resolve.Other Roles and Responsibilities include: - Full stack development (React, .NET).- Experience with Oracle, PG & SQL Databases- System to System API development (Java).- JASPER report development for business reporting.- Administering Linux servers and Oracle Databases.
