And the game that moves them all.Whether at home, online, in bars, or in makeshift viewing centers, one thing is clear as fans scream passionately at their screens - they believe they can lead their teams better.So, we gave them a shot with Budweiser Game of Kings, a one-of-a-kind football match created to help Budweiser leverage its Premier League and La Liga partnership to connect better with its football loving consumers and own the Nigerian football scene.For the first time in Nigeria, Premier League and La Liga football kings, John Terry and Roberto Carlos played alongside the best of the best in the Nigerian professional Football League and consumers got a once-in-a-lifetime experience of calling the shots as Team Managers. Once our ads hit social media and major billboards, consumers wasted no time. They drank Budweiser, retrieved their code from our limited-edition crown corks and applied as Manager of for VIP match tickets. Out of thousands of entries, we selected 1000 fans to receive VIP tickets to the match and two finalists with winning strategies for John Terry’s Kings FC and Roberto Carlos’ Smooth FC were selected as team Managers.With the Managers ready, all roads led to the airport for the Kings Landing. Next up, - press rounds, a press conference, and the pinch-me moment for the Managers as they met and trained their football idols ahead of the game.And then…it was Game day! Over 1000 Bud football fans thronged the Mobolaji Sport arena to watch their faves play live, drink Budweiser and enjoy an unbelievable experience. Some even got their jerseys signed by their faves.The event was streamed live on SuperSport, STV and NTA, garnering over 13.2M views.
