Army ROTC, in a brief description, is a full time commitment to a higher education and an oath to serve with the United States Army after commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant.   Over the summer I had the amazing opportunity to shadow Army officers in their roles at Moncrief Army Health Clinic at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. I was able to view the new Army Health Care system, attend meeting with Colonels about hospital logistics and affairs, and be apart of the community at Moncrief. During my time as an intern I was also able to become Arbinger Open Mindset certified, qualify with the new Army standard pistol, and work with basic trainees are they became soldiers. This experience was extremely fulfilling in that I was encouraged to grow into my leadership style through spontaneous events, networking, and meeting other cadets from across the country. Show less
