      Leading a team of policy professionals providing advice on initiatives to strengthen the competency of building professionals and streamline the building consent process (including granny flats, self certification, remote inspections and making it easier to recognise overseas building products) Leading a team of policy and technical experts that are helping to reduce emissions from buildings during their construction and operation, and ensuring New Zealand’s buildings are resilient enough to withstand changing climate conditions. Managing the development of energy policy to deliver New Zealand’s energy transition, including:- hydrogen- offshore renewable energy- energy efficiency - decarbonising process heat I lead a team of policy advisors who advise on the role of the energy sector in contributing to the transition to a low emissions economy. Current focus is on developing policies to accelerate energy efficiency in process heat, and new renewable energy generation. I am responsible for devising, executing and evaluating strategies to attract foreign direct investment into New Zealand’s energy and resources sectors, including hydrogen and other renewable energy, petroleum and minerals.Through the analysis of commercial information, I also help to inform regulatory and policy decisions for the energy and resource sectors.
