During my time in this role, I was provided the opportunity to facilitate the services’ monthly peer reflection sessions, enabling a safe space for colleagues to share advice and grow within their own professional development. I was always more than happy to offer to have new starters shadow myself during their inductions, and support my colleagues, whether this was with technology queries, to share my skills in Excel, cover clinics at short notice or to simply be there as emotional support when they needed. A highlight of working with this service was the real impact OYES made to their clients lives to improve their health and overall quality of life.
