  Initially hired to work in the small online department of Future Publishing, to run the online version of the established technology magazine, T3. Venture capital investment in the late 90s allowed the small online department to grow and capitalise on the run-away interest in the internet. We were invited to submit ideas. I had been moved to running the online website for Total Football by this point. So I submitted an idea for a fanzine style website. It would connect as many unofficial football websites (run by fans) under one umbrella, with a central hub site for news, features and results. The network would attract advertisers who could run banners and promotions across the whole group of sites. It worked well and we split the revenue with the fan sites and eventually employed 5 full time staff. Show less

  Helped establish Aviationjobsearch.com. Employed to manage the site's growth, so oversaw development strategy and sales. Running sales, and then employing others to take on sales and account management, we grew the site to become the leader in the field. We also launched three other specialist job boards before the company was sold to Friday Media Group.
