      Project Manager- Operations and Maintenance

Mace Contractors won a contract for the operation and maintenance of the Abu Dhabi Island Sewerage, Drainage, and Irrigation networks, which had previously been managed by the Abu Dhabi Municipality.Under the contract I was totally responsible for operating and maintaining all the networks, including 45 sewerage pump stations and related sewerage network, 30 outfall pump stations; stormwater system; irrigation system used to pump treated effluent water throughout the municipality to irrigate parks, road landscaping, and major gardens; a maintenance and repair workshop servicing 38 trucks and vehicles, as well as diesel pumps and other ancillary equipment; and an expatriate’s camp housing and feeding 190 staff.I have initiated and commissioned a computerised Customer Call Centre and Control Room, servicing over 1 million customers, including incident management procedures and installation of a MAXIMO Asset and Work Order Management system. Routine maintenance and responsive maintenance work for all areas, was managed using the MAXIMO system. The system also streamlined invoicing, costing, and the provision of monthly progress reports for presentation to the Municipality Board.Prior to the introduction of MAXIMO, payments to the contractors were running more than 150 days in arrears, but once the system was fully commissioned all arrears were paid up to date.
