  Independently ran business venture in which I create custom flags designs, using my self-taught Adobe Photoshop expertise, and then sell them as a bespoke printed flag to customers all over the world through eBay. To date, I have amassed over 600 sales and nearly £20,000 in revenue.Customers have included businesses, charities, sports clubs, committees, individuals etc.This role involved handling and resolving up to 50 customer queries per day which enhanced and improved my communication skills, particularly the ability to professionally handle difficult customers and any language or cultural differences. It also greatly enhanced my marketing abilities (e.g. SEO), to ensure the product consistently offered value in a dynamic online marketplace. Furthermore, my negotiation skills were developed through the years of experience finalising deals with suppliers from Asia and customers from across the world. Learning to balance time between running this venture successfully, university studies and other employment greatly improved my organisational abilities. Show less

Working with such innovative technology was extremely challenging at times, especially as CiiVSOFT’s clients included a number of large organisations. Thus, I learnt to work under considerable pressure to ensure the lead time on the new software could be met.   I delivered a email marketing campaign from CRM data analysis, designing the email layouts, scheduling sends with workforce planning, reporting performance against KPI's, and recommending improvements. The campaign was sent to over 75,000 customers, from small local businesses to large organisations such as the NHS, which explained the benefits of a move from quarterly to monthly billing - this campaign led to a £17m improvement in working capital.I regularly collaborated with the team to strategically position Water Plus as a knowledge leader in the B2B utilities industry. I attended events such as the Green Apple Environment Awards and the SUSTx Sustainability Summit and also delivered email campaigns on the back of these events. Show less
