  As mud engineer , I am responsible of: Preparation and mixing of required drilling fluids and brine systems. Monitor the properties of the systems and make recommendations for treatments to maintain system properties within the specifications outlined in Company's programme. Perform daily pilot tests to determine appropriate treatments to the mud system. Provide a display of materials usage and cost. Current records of consumption cost and inventory maintained and reported on daily basis. Order materials as required to maintain adequate stocks on location. Maintain records of fluid additions and losses and account for discrepancies. Monitor performance of solids control equipment and maintain a complete materials balance.
