  I work for a public Charter School in Sonoma Valley. We have 231 students in grades K-8. I was a founding parent of this school in 1994 with my son attending the first kindergarten. I came to work here in August 2000. I bring over 30 years of financial skills learned in banking, a home based medical billing business, mobile bookkeeping service, and many business management positions over the years. The best part of going to work is the children. In my day there is no lack of a task to do. I am as comfortable paying bills, answering phones, putting a band aid on a skinned knee and finding money in the school budget for the next project needed for educating the students. I love my job and all the challenges it presents. I believe in the mission of public education. I believe in the Charter school philosophy.Sonoma Charter School celebrates 22 years in September 2016.   Elected 2008 to City Council member involved directly in making policies for the City of Sonoma. I currently represent the City of Sonoma on the Sonoma County Water Advisory Committee, asVice Chair,Director on Sonoma County Transportation Authority, Director of Sonoma County Regional Climate Protection Authority, Budget Committee and Audit Committee. In an additional regional capacity I was elected to represent councilmembers of Sonoma County on the Ag Preservation and Open Space District, Executive Committee and Chair 2013,2014, Chair 2011 Mayor and Councilmembers Assoc for Sonoma County. I am City liaison to the 2011 League of California Cities and served on the No Bay Executive Board for Sonoma County- LOCC 2011-2015., 7 yr Representative for the council and attend the Association of Bay Area Governments. Local to the city I serve on the Cemetery and Audit Committee.Trustee on Sonoma Marin Mosquito Vector District 2015-18. Show less

  Ordained as Universal Life Church Minister in 2010. I felt strongly that members of the LGBTQ community have the ability to marry. I became ordained to help my friend share their life with their loved one. I have enjoyed marrying couples in joy and love. The future of love and commitment is a very auspicious occasion and deserves a respectful, personal, and loving beginning. It is my honor to serve and join the couple in marriage. I have done many weddings to date of loving couples, and same sex. It is better to love than judge! Show less

The purpose is to produce in-depth examinations of the above-listed topics and to examine and promote the means of resolving conflicts, respecting difference, and forging paths to a peaceful and sustainable world.
