      I spent one year working with the SDH Hardware design team in Beeston, Nottingham. The work involved a variety of tasks - inspecting and debugging field returns, quality testing on new releases of software, building prototype systems for new designs, both physical and with VHDL, and in a range of fields – digital, high speed, and power. I gained familiarity with Marconi's range of SDH add/drop multiplexers and WDM transmission equipment.
