By being hard working, trustworthy, and reliable I developed and maintained strong relationships with the people I worked with and for. Some of these clients I had for the entire 18 years in this position. Some families I also helped with child care or dog and house sitting. I learned how to be professional and responsible while building a strong work ethic.

I got to work with friends and learned invaluable skills that I could build on. One of my favorite things about this job was feeling like a valuable part of a team.   Gaining skills as a portrait photographer to round out my photography business was a natural progression. Researching and buying special gear; lenses, lights, stands, and backdrops was necessary. I love doing realtor head shots. For the convenience of my clients I have a portable studio so I can go to their offices and set up for a uniform polished professional look for an entire office. Family Portraits; here at the beach, there's no better way for a photographer to spend an evening then taking casual sunset family portraits on the beach. So enjoyable! I've met some amazing families. A big part of this aspect of photography is being able to put people at ease and help them feel comfortable and relaxed. Good people skills can be a valuable asset. Great photos make great marketing! I love to shoot beach houses and beach front condos! For interior rooms I like to use a wide angle lens to show off the space to it's best advantage, and tighter shots to focus on details. I strongly believe marketing with professional photography gets more attention, more views online, and engages clients leaving a lasting impression. My experience in the this field led to working on commercial projects as well. I have done architectural photography for many years, working closely with clients. Digital photography has become my world. Becoming proficient at Adobe Lightroom, Affinity Photo, and Luminar has become a must for my image editing. I'm continually learning new and improved methods and honing my skills. For instance, I'm in the process of learning to do walk through videos for real estate. I care deeply about the quality of my work and providing my clients with the absolute best images showcasing their property. I've developed many solid relationships that I value with my clients and colleagues. I also recently became a Part 107 certified drone pilot so I can capture amazing aerial images. Show less

  Writing for children had been a dream of mine for so long. My dream came to fruition with the publication of "Boppy And Me", published July 2013. This book is very near and dear to my heart. I'm thrilled that so many others also loved precious and familiar story it told. "Boppy and Me" became an Amazon Best Seller in it's genre.
