      Key ResponsibilitiesTrade Union & Collective Bargaining: - Lead negotiations and update collective agreements and seafarers’ employment contracts. - Manage relationships with trade unions and employee representatives to foster constructive dialogue.Employee & Labor Management: - Oversee disciplinary processes, including final approval of onboard disembarkation proposals and drafting disciplinary letters. - Guide HR managers on labor law compliance, handling grievances, harassment, and conduct issues. - Resolve internal labor disputes and maintain accurate documentation of disciplinary actions and complaints.Corporate Management of Onboard HR Directors: - Coordinate the deployment and movement of onboard HR Directors. - Ensure the consistent sharing of corporate guidelines and policies with onboard teams. - Maintain regular contact with onboard HR Directors to monitor and assess operational situations.Ethics & Compliance: - Promote a work environment where employees can report unethical behavior without fear of retaliation, in line with MLC 2006 procedures. - Monitor onboard complaint processes and contribute to the review and alignment of the Code of Conduct across brands (Costa, AIDA, Carnival UK).Risk Management & Legal Compliance: - Manage legal labor claims by providing documentation to legal teams and conducting risk assessments for Finance. - Update and maintain risk management records using dedicated software (RiskConsole).Consultation & Networking: - Advise on HR and labor management issues in national and international forums, representing the organization in industry associations. Employee & Labor Management- Overseeing the disciplinary process, including approval of onboard disembarkations and drafting disciplinary letters. - Providing guidance on labor law compliance and serving as the focal point for grievances, harassment cases, and workplace conduct issues. - Ensuring HR policies comply with international labor regulations (MLC, 2006). - Managing internal resolution of labor disputes and complaints. - Training HR Directors on disciplinary procedures and collective bargaining agreements applicable to shipboard personnel. Ethical & Compliance Leadership- Encouraging employees to report unethical behavior without fear of retaliation, in line with MLC, 2006 onboard complaint procedures. - Monitoring and managing complaints from shipboard personnel (Hotline & Onboard Complaint)- Contributing to the review and enhancement of the Code of Conduct. Risk Management & Legal Compliance- Managing legal labor claims, providing documentation to legal teams, and conducting risk assessments for Finance. - Maintaining compliance records and updating risk management software (RiskConsole). Consultation & Industry Representation- Acting as a key advisor on labor relations and employment regulations in national and international forums. - Representing the organization in meetings with shipowners’ associations. Show less Employee and Labour Management:- Accountable for the management of the disciplinary process (final approval for onboard disembarkation proposals and drafting of disciplinary letters from ashore offices to seafarers);- Archiving disciplinary letters, disciplinary disembarkations ’document and complaints;- Educating HR Managers on labour law regulation and serving as focal point for all legal issues related to personnel grievances, harassment, and conduct;- Ensuring that Hr programs, practices and polices align and comply with laws and regulations;.- Resolving workplace labour disputes internally;- Accountable for MLC, 2006 Audit (planning for the audit, informing the persons involved, updating findings in the software);- Training new Hr Directors on disciplinary process and collective bargaining agreements applicable to shipboard personnel;- Supporting interactions with unions and other employee representatives;- Assisting and supporting the Head of Industrial Relations in the collective bargaining process;- Drafting updates to collective bargaining agreements and seafarer’s employment agreement. Ethical practice:- Empowering all employees to report unethical behaviours, without fear of reprisal (MLC, 2006 onboard complaint procedure);- Tracking and handling of complaints for shipboard personnel (Hotline and/or On Board Complaint – Auditors Process);- Collaborating in the revision of the Code of Conduct;- Fostering alignment of code of conduct among brands (Costa, Aida, Carnival Uk). Risk Management:- Accountable for legal labour Claims and their risk (providing document to lawyer, providing the risk assessment to Finance and updating the software Riskconsole) – Auditors Process “Manage crew claims”.
