  The aim of the Reaserch project was to analyze and understand the predictive techniques in data mining to help prevent forest fires. Climatological data were collected from OpenWeather and the ERA5 satellite, fires data from INPE base, and NDVI from the Landsat 7 and Landsat 8 satellites, for analysis in the Weka tool. Through this study it was possible to generate a classification model using the J48 (C4.5) algorithm to predict fires, with more than 84% of accuracy.

  The aim of the Reaserch project was to perform a performance evaluation of complex classifiers in a local environment and in a cloud environment (Microsoft Azure), using data mining and distributed processing tools such as Weka and Apache Spark. The analyzed algorithms were: DecisionTable, JRip, RandomForest, SMO and MultilayerPerceptron.
