  During the course of my internship with JR Automation I was able to gain a deeper understanding of mechanical and manufacturing principals. Being my second internship for mechanical engineering I was given greater freedom with mechanical engineering design for automation.My internship was mainly focused on Solidworks and assembly generation for automation utilizing parts designed by myself as well as commercial products. I was able to gain a broader understanding of GD&T and the proper applications.In addition to the engineering learning experience I also was able to focus on the industrial business side of automation. I gained an understanding of the companies ERP system and interacted with customers and suppliers on a daily basis.
