      Jun 2020 - Dec 2020
      Research Assistant

As an assistant to Dr. Nicole Martinez-Martin, I explored the ethical, legal, and social implications of digital mental health technologies, including digital phenotyping. I performed a systematic review of mental health applications via AppTweak, investigating their safety, clinical validity, and accessibility. This project complemented our interviews of digital mental health tool developers. An abstract of our study was accepted to the 2020 International Neuroethics Society conference, where we presented our findings. Show less

I also led a project investigating the pathogenesis, clinical presentation, and outcomes of patients with NAFLD. I presented my findings from this project at the Digestive Diseases Week 2022 Conference in San Diego via poster presentation. Then, I began leading a project exploring the safety and efficacy of bariatric surgery among patients with NAFLD-related cirrhosis.
