  As a QA intern at Excelerate, I am gaining hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure software quality and functionality. My role involves designing and executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues efficiently. I am learning how to analyze requirements, create structured test plans, and perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing to enhance product reliability.In automation testing, I am working with Cypress and JavaScript to develop robust test scripts for web applications. I have learned how to use Cypress commands like cy.get(), cy.contains(), cy.intercept(), and cy.request() to automate UI and API testing. Additionally, I am implementing custom commands, handling dynamic elements, and using assertions to validate expected behaviors. I have also gained experience in debugging test failures, optimizing test execution, and ensuring flaky tests are minimized through best practices.Beyond technical skills, I am gaining exposure to Agile methodologies, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve testing efficiency. I am learning about CI/CD integration, understanding how automated tests fit into continuous testing pipelines, and ensuring seamless deployments.Through this internship, I am building a strong foundation in software quality assurance, test automation, and API testing. These skills are preparing me for future roles in QA engineering, test automation, or SDET positions, where I can further enhance my expertise in testing frameworks, automation strategies, and software development processes.
