      I filtered and organized all incoming resumes and job requests for seven YMCA branches and a YMCA Youth Camp. I posted open positions in multiple capacities on-line and in print and performed initial phone screens for potential job candidates. I co-trained employment trainings and distributed, and organized training feedback surveys. I also assisted other employees and multiple YMCA branches with hiring, recruitment, and posting.

I co-authored a textbook on Community Engagement and participated on multiple committees and organizations affiliated with the School of Communication. I worked on a project funded by the National Park Services to help alleviate human-wildlife interactions in national parks across the country.. In another project funded by the USDA, I trained beginner farmers and ranchers in social media marketing tools and conducted impact research. I have also conducted research on front-of-package food labeling, the barriers women face when they choose to combine breastfeeding and work, among other smaller projects that entail content analysis, interview protocol, and theory extension. I have presented research at multiple conferences on social media marketing, risk communication, narrative theory and health communication.My research was focused on health communication, science communication, environmental communication, social media marketing, risk communication, and the impact of technology on human behavior. My goal is to better understand people in order to influence social change. Show less
