  I was very grateful to have been personally selected and invited on an all-expense paid trip to the Florida Department of Education in our state's capitol to attend a special Florida Civics and Debate Initiative conference. Myself and about 30 other debaters from across Florida were selected to test out a new technology in a pre-season scrimmage, perform in a livestreamed final round and network with leaders in the capitol to learn about leadership and how to use your voice.
