  Dive! Tutukaka is NZ's largest dive charter operator, with a fleet of four boats, taking over 12-13000 pax per annum to the Poor Knights Islands Marine Reserve. Employing up to 60 staff in season, and 15 during the winter months.Currently am responsible for all daily operations across all departments, staffing, sales and marketing and administration.In 2012 Jeroen and I bought out majority shareholder Aussie Malcolm. My partner Jeroen Jongejans, and then owned 100% of the family business - Dive! Tutukaka.We expanded in 2006 with a dedicated 75 pax snorkel vessel, delivering a marine reserve experience - anything in, on, or under the water. Perfect Day now takes thousands out to the Islands every year, and is an extraordinary & well-established Northland business. We expanded into the valley behind us with an upcycled training centre, salt-water swimming pool with windows, and 6-room boutique lodge-hosted accommodation.The 2019 addition is an awesome purpose-built centre with the world's largest scuba tank out the front. Environmentally focused as always. in February 2022, Jeroen suddenly passed away.I have continued the legacy. Show less

  Lodge 9 offers boutique accommodation in a brand new lodge, nestled in a private sun-trapped valley behind the coastal hub of Tutukaka Marina.With two upstairs rooms with private balconies, all six rooms are ensuites, king beds with well appointed linen, towels, and bespoke furnishings. A large lounge and dining area opens up into a wide verandah and BBQ area with salt-water pool, sauna, and a tropical resort feel.Salvaged old Tutukaka Marina piles have been repurposed and the wooden boardwalks re-fashioned, creating an up-cycled the space surrounded by greenery. Walking distance to four bars and restaurants, Lodge 9 is the perfect place to base yourself as you explore the beautiful Tutukaka Coast. Show less

  TEDxTutukaka Team Leader

  TEDxTutukaka is a non-profit independently organised TED event.It has been created entirely by volunteers to reinforce the sense of community that already exists along our Tutukaka Coast and create a space of sharing, where new and inspiring ideas connect people from different areas of interest and expertise.We are creating an event that aims to be zero-waste and accessible to the hearing impaired. April 2018 marks the first TEDxTutukaka event - our hope is that it is the first of many more to come. Show less
