Participating in Build Managers Meeting in overall Nokia to create awareness of whatall code changes needed in source level, image creation level etc.My responsibilties were to write some perl scripts to correct incompatible files and deliver patches to developers making sure its backward (Windows buildable) compatible still.Helped developers to port Symbian asset tools from Windows to Linux.Also fixed image creating tools and files needed to create image in Linux.NCP shell bootable image was created well within deadline, which took lot of extra effort to correct malforrmed dlls due to path issues in MMP files.Also worked in RVCT4.0 compiler deployment as automation robot owner.My main role was to create robot which reported RVCT4.0 incompatible code to developers Also to ensure same functionally works in the same ways as the old RVCT 2.2 compiler.Build robot was run by taking the latest release baseline plus the latest Integration Domain contents, which gets built, then help in analysis of the build logs for any build breaks and provide solution proposals to those breaks,later create a bootable image,getting ROM image for the Basic Acceptance and Regression testing.The robot sends out a mail to the package owners with the solution proposals requesting them to provide fixes to the build breaks in their components.Helped in investigation when there were functional issues with the compiler. Automated builds triggered every night taking SOS, S60 latest baselines and on top extracting zip deliveries.After build is finished all IDO's are informed about the build errors ( if any) via html report. My responsibilties were to develop the automated html based reporting to IDOs about build errors, developing scripts and incorporating those scripts to main-line configurations to delete old zip files delivered by IDo's, automatically identifying the IDO's who are not delivering latest code to the robot and informing via mail etc. All these builds were done with ABLD. Parallely was working on deployment of Raptor (aka Symbian Build System v2) as an official build tool. My main role was to develop configurations for robot which was supposed to build Series60 5.0/9.1/9.2/10.1 releases. The functionality of the SBSv2 should match with that of SBSv1. From Raptor robot developers used to get mails every morning about S60 code incompatibilty.Involved in creating perl scripts, incorporating those scripts in configuration, enhancing platform configuration to genrate html based reporting to developers about code errors.
