      As a Facilitator at the Family Resource Centre (within the Early Learning Center) I facilitated a positive open space for childcare and resourcing.In this role I designed and implemented a new Resource Lending Library within the centre and organized and facilitated off-site activity days for children and their guardians in collaboration with the Family Care Office.On a day-to-day basis, I also provided temporary child-minding services for parents and guardians.

As the Career Information and Development Officer I supported the coordination of On Campus Recruitment activities including interviews, information sessions, and career and job fairs.       As President of the Casual Bargaining Unit (USW1998) I led a group of 8000 (annually) casual (full-time and part time, contracted) workers (administrative, academic, and technical staff) at the University of Toronto. This was an executive position.Within the scope of this role I:- Managed employer and union member relations, including processing grievances and resolving disagreements.- Liaised with international partners in the United States, Ireland, and the United Kingdom to coordinate development and educational initiatives across borders for workers in multiple sectors.- Achieved dispute resolutions resulting in over $300 000 in settlement value, within the first year.- Initiated a pay equity process for this unit of precarious workers for the first time in 16 years.- Drafted a collective agreement to represent over 8000 employees at the University of Toronto and led collective bargaining negotiations.       • Co-authored a resource guide on anti-racism, with specific focus on health for Black peoples• Prepared grant applications for research and community-based projects• Led and organized the CIARS Decolonizing Conference. Over 1000 people attended the 2018 conference on each its three days, with keynotes including Gloria Ladson-Billings, Sandy Marie Grande, and Marie Battiste. This is one of the largest conferences at the University, and the largest on decolonization. • Facilitated calls for abstracts, liaised with keynotes, vendors and facilities representatives, and created budgets, and sponsorship plans. • Coordinated grant proposals, organized and facilitated meetings and workshops, edited books, and prepared conference presentations.• Managed a budget of $ 90 000 and raised over $100 000 in sponsorship in less than 10 months.       I work with educational and arts-based organizations and individuals to bring their goals to life, whether that be through creating equity-embedded programmes for children, grant writing for artists, or editing scripts for studios. Through my consultancy, I am also a co-founder of the The Collective alongside Dr. Janelle Brady. The Collective provides professional development and consultation to a wide range of organizations in the area of EDI, from an anti-racist and anti-oppressive framework. Areas of speciality include children's media, early childhood education, the arts, higher-education, and health equity. Our work is grounded in grassroots, communal principles and practices. Former and current clients include CBC Kids, The City of Toronto, ACTRA, TCDSB, and Greenwood College School. Our associates have also led and collaborated on projects with the Peel and Toronto District School Boards, the University of Toronto, the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, and the Child Development Institute.       I was seconded to Hart House to co-develop a departmental area known as the Well-Being Collective. During my time there I created a storytelling arm that prioritized the facilitation of space for Black and Racialized peoples to theorize, from a non-hierarchical stance, their own conception of "wellbeing".Towards this end I developed, produced and hosted a Podcast Series entitled Living Well for Hart House at the University of Toronto.
